Default Re: What to look for on a 20 seacraft???

About a year or so ago I bought a 74 potter hull 20'. I could tell the transom was shot by the bow it had in it. turns out it was just as bad as i suspected I actually at the time didnt think the floors were that bad because I couldn't feel any real soft spots. The only visible damage to the floor was it was buckled up a little bit in the front. I believe water seeped in through the spider cracks on the surface and then froze in the winter. If your not looking to restore a boat and are just looking to fish it I would say dont even begin to poke around cause Ill bet just about any boat from this era is deffinetly going to need some sort of work if some one didnt already beat you to it.
