Default Re: Splash Board Install with Starboard

I just recently made this out of starboard. The only way the boat will drain is thru the splash well so i had to cut holes in the bottom and put plugs in it. I just pull the plugs when i want to rinse it or there is some water from the cooler. I was going to put drains in the floor before the splashwell but was not enough room under the floor.Tested it the other day and works great. Still some modifications need to be done but thats it for the most part. Im going to cut it in half so i can take out the top part of it. I also made the doors on either side of the splash well out of starboard. Ive been replacing all the wood with starboard and is easy to work with. I know some of you guys like the wood look in these classic SeaCrafts but i use this boat to much to have it out of service while the wood gets redone every cpl of years(or prob. sooner). here is a link to some of the other pics of the boat. Its a 1975 18'
