I used to own a 1988 Ramcharger with the 318. I had 4 wheel drive and a transmission oil cooler. Serviced the cooling system, rear end, transfer case, transmission and oil on a regular scheduled basis. I pulled my 23' to the keys and also over to the west coast of Fla from Stuart on several occasions. On the long hauls, I would try not to have the fuel tank topped off until I arrived. It performed very good back and forth to the local ramps. Even thou it would bog down a little on the high bridges
I sold it in 1996 with 177K miles and it still was running fine
The body paint was a different story
