Just a follow-up on this starter thing....

This motor had been sitting in the previous owner shed for about two years. I pulled the starter looked at the brushes, they looked brand new, put a little grease on the bushing at slapped it back on ...no go!!
Took it to a auto/marine electric repair shop and told the guy the story. He says hold.... comes back with my starter a minute later and says " here ya go it needed oil on the armature shaft"!!!!
Now it works like a charm [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Amazing what a little lubrication can do [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
Thanks for all the replys and suggestions, I'll need you all again soon I'm sure.

Now on to the next problem [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
