welcome, the first thing to do if you are thinking about restoring, but you dont really know a whole lot(like me) would be to have a surveyor or someone check it out. If you just want to use the boat as is you should probably check the fuel system lines tank etc. look for rot around the transom,there is a way to see if your transom is still strong by putting pressure on the lower unit up and down while you look for flex on the back of the transom. the other guys who actually know what to tell you will be around soon.
