Default Re: Columbus Day Regatta

Well, well, well, we have a "virgin" fort he Regatta!!!

Botapeje,
I personally splash at Black Point but, unless you get there early, like no later than 10ish, plan on waiting to splash about an hour, yes, you read that correctly. You can splash at Homestead Bayfront, Key Biscyane, Matheson, etc. If you know where Sands Cut and Elliott Key are, then you can find the Regatta, it is hard to miss. I go out on Saturday, though, if it is a really good time, I will go back out on Sunday as well but, that is rare for me since I am usually recovering on Sunday. I splash around 10 and come back in late on Saturday night, though this year, I may spend the night out there since I know many people going this year and they come up from the Keys and spend the night, so, we shall see. I plan on making my usual 500 plus jello shots, and no, I don't drive the boat anywhere for a while. We bring the floating cooler with us and come back occasionally to refill as required. If you wish to hook up with us, just let me know, more then happy to have you come along. Like Capt Brad said, this event is not for the kids.....

Oh, and I am looking forward to tasting some "planters punch" this year as well, something one of the guys at my office makes, who happens to sail in the race. I often wonder how he makes it back the next day.....
