Re: Va.Beach Seacraft Rockfish tournament results
hey Scott-
yes its the standard post- 38" x 10"seat. the rod holders are still usable with the back in but not really fishable with trolling rods because your line will rub the back/bottom of the seat back. i woody waxed it along with all my other bright work today and man if that stuff aint sweet !!!(high as hell too) my back feels so much better with support on a run now, its really feels like a whole new boat. with the hydraulic steering i can sit back, adjust it a little now and then and relax.it wouldnt be the same either without the footrest- i figured that out pretty quick as well. oh so nice, lol. I did use those 1/4"x20 toggles when mounting it to my deck- 2 in each leg, and big screws siliconed in the other two holes. its very , very, solid. i always wondered how well those ss toggle bolts worked, now i know. next time i have my top off i will go back and use them again as well. one other thing about the toggles in my deck (kinda getting away from tournament talk huh) i had to cut down on each side of the toggle because there was not enough space between the deck and my fuel tanks. If i remember right it was about 3/8" on each side to allow enough room to pull it back up after inserting it in the hole. now im thinking of awlgripping the deck this winter cause it looks like sheet where the old swingback seats footprint was.
