I'm trying to figure a way to get a "chip" off the hull this spring, or to find a spot that won't matter, and send it off to get color matched (gel coat) .... Maybe off the transom ...I just want to minimize the damage and subsequent repair to the hull (not to mention the cosmetic repair ...Now that I think about it...it might be easiest to take a "chip" from below the water line and behind bottom paint. That would be easy to patch and no cosmetic issues ...

Wonder if I can shave off just the gelcoat sample and not disturb the structural glass below ?? [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
