I think you need to place the height of the seating area depending on the height of your console. (visual)
Next the length of your legs also comes into the picture.(balance and comfort) The padding must be against your backside, not so high it hits the small of the back or not to low it hits against the thighs while standing behind the wheel. Consider rough water and being in a sitting position for a long run.
These measurements were crutial in my height decision process because I make the 4 hour runs to the islands [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]
