Default Re: Replace wood bulkheads and side coaming panels

It was fairly involved but it will look great, i used the old ones as a template for shape and dimensions, then i cut the new wood to the basic shape, trimmed it to be perfect and but a layer of glass tape on the edges. then i measured where it meets the cap and overlaps on the top and bottom and routed it to the depth so it would sit flush with both. then put a layer of roven on the outside. after that i put it in the boat with epoxy and silca where it over laps and glased the sides to the hull/liner. the rest is all fairing, but i did this cuase it will look amazing when its all painted white. and on a bright note, i think ill be finishing the boat!!!!
