Default Re: New to site. 25 Seacraft , I have Questions...

Welcome Homey to CSC

There seems to be a lot of controversy over the airwaves recently with Tracker Marine reference the construction of SeaCraft and Mako boats, especially with the recent sinking tragety off Texas on a 28' Mako There is a member on this site (Ntrain2K) who is a Tracker employee. He claims the company has made great strides in "doing the right thing" Lets face it, you can't turn things around over night. Time will tell. After reading and hearing many Horror stories about the final construction, fit and finish of these boats, I would be extremly leary. I think if I chose to have a boat built by Tracker, I would have to go and camp out at the factory and cling to their shirt tails during the whole build process

The 25' SeaCraft is a 23 footer with a intragated bracket. I think twin 150HP on this boat would be fine. With a pair of 130HP, you might have a problem getting the hull on plane with a single 130hp should you lose a motor.
