Default Re: Teak Options

I love the look of my teak. In fact I just added some with some more on the way. It is a pain to take care of but all I really care about is spending time on the boat, and working on teak is a lot cheaper than burning fuel. I have a combination of oiled teak and varnished teak. I am using Epifanes this year for the varnished portion. If you want to eliminate the maintenance you can awlgrip over it. The previous owner did this to my boat and I will need to remove the paint or replace those pieces in time.

What do you want to do with your teak, oil, varnish or paint? Another option that is increasingly popular on fishing boats is to do nothing with your teak. Leave it natural and clean it every so often.
