When the ad said transom done with "all composite materials" that should mean the interior wood of the transom was eliminated and replaced with either a pourable cast transom, high density foam, corecell, klegcell or one of the others. If the transom was done correctly, there would be no need for starboard on the outside. I think it's an aluminum plate with awlgrip from the pix.

There is no mention of electronics, interior condition or deck solidity. See it, try it before you buy it. Sounds like a shakey salesman. Talk with the actual owner and get paperwork for the transom repair or talk with the shop that did the work. IMO the hull is most important, not the motor.
