I have a problem....how do I deal with my brand new 20 inch Suzuki, I assume the correct thing to do is raise the transom, but then what?
Raise the transom to 25", extend the motor. Mercury and Johnrude make kits to convert a 20" to a 25", I would assume Suzuki does as well. The Merc kit consists of a driveshaft extension, shiftshaft extension, a longer water pump tube, and a 5" spacer that bolts to the bottom of the midsection housing, and to which the lower unit then bolts up. I bought one for a friend off of ebay two years ago for under $300. The original price was twice that.
Kepp the motor, extend the housing.
