I took an ordinary brass drain tube, the kind you buy at the boat supply store about 3" long or so. Then I got a plastic thru-hull discharge like the kind you would use above the water line for a bilge pump. I made sure the the plastic fitting was long enough to touch the brass tube in the drain hole on my 20 SF from the bottom. Also it was a bit large than the inner diameter of the brass tube. I then put it on a lathe and turned the threads off and made it fit snugly in the brass tube. Took 5200, glued the brass tube in from the top, glued the plastic one in from the bottom, they meet in the middle and provide a somewhat flexible connection between the inner liner and outer hull to avoid cracking the connection if it flexes. This repair was done about 9 years ago and like many of my projects was meant to be a quick fix until I could "get" to it. The best option I believe is to run them out the transom but my solution has worked great so far and involves no glass work.
