Re: twins setup question
Yes the ride is great but I have the Seamark bracket (Potter) and the floation equals my 135s ficht rudes. This is the only setup that I have had (pulled twin I/Os) so I can't compare rides but others have said it was an improvement. My scuppers are above water if I put them thru. The boat becomes essentially a 26 footer. With trim tabs the ride in rough water is amazing for me coming out of my CSC 20 cc.
I looked at all the other brackets and went with the more expensive one cuz its glass, enclosed floatation, and designed by Potter. My boat stays in the water and glass is easy to paint and repair. I have seen other brackets being pumped out constantly and design-wise rely on a 2" seal to prevent leakage where mine the water has to get past an acre of 5200 to get to the bolt holes. Lastly, who would know my boat better than Potter?
