I'm hoping it won't be too much of an issue replacing the transmission, but it's not going to happen this summer. We're just going to deal with the slow cruise speed for now and not risk loosing any time out on the water.
Everytime it gets snotty out, I forget about the loss of cruise speed and enjoy the ride. I heard that Seacrafts are wet boats, but I haven't had to use the wing curtains once, even in a quartering sea. I can't believe how dry this boat is, I think with the motor placed in the center of the hull, it really helps the ride. In a head sea, I just give it more tab and she cuts through without pounding at all.
