Thank you for the kind words and sorry for the delay in posting more.
Here is where I started:
Many buds later, here is the bare hull, ready for hardware and rigging.
The bow area with hardware, awaiting a starboard hatch for the front compartment:
Here is a detail of the non-skid layout. I went for a Matterhorn white with Whisper Gray non-skid. If you are going to go for the 2 tone, I think it is worth it to layout and border all of your hardware-it really looks nice when you are done:
Here is a shot of the aft part of the boat with the motor rigged:
The new floor is 2 1/4" higher than the old. I glassed over the old thru hull drains and put the scuppers in the aft part of the transom. The floor is pitched aft and towards the middle, and then the small aft section is tilted down about 3/4" to keep the water back there that does come in.
It started out with the standard splash well, which I cut out.
Here is the console, which I made from the old one.
I cut the orginal console down by 8" and then added the upper portion.
I glassed on a flange so that I could mount it from the inside, leaving the outside clean.
I put 1/4-20 threaded inserts into the floor so hold it down.
I need to get some shots in better light, and hope to put up a whole page of the process at some point soon. As I said, I have many pictures that I will share, showing the entire process.
Thanks,
Peter
