I did some checking around this morning with the dmv and with a marina that sold seacrafts back then, and between 1970 and 1972, you were as likely to get a FLZ state issued hull id number, as anything else. They just printed them on the little decals. After 5-10 years of sun, they pretty much disappear. One guy I talked to said they had a couple boats with the same number on the decal, and when they went to title, the state just replaced the manuf code with the FLZ (aka homemade) code.
The boat in question is definitly a SeaCraft, I was just trying to make sure that the title/paperwork were in order. I had never seen an flz except on homebuilt/made boats in Florida.
