Re: New SeaCraft
We eat kings. Some people in the Gulf think they are trash fish but personally my friends and I like them. They are best fried as nuggets or marinated in the old Italian dressing and grilled. IMO they don't freeze too well. Usually the fish from tournaments are sold to fish houses and then the proceeds are donated to a charity. If you stick more than one, teams that don't make use of them will donate them at weigh in for the charity.
I am from NJ originally...many people love blues in NJ but down here, many people in NC people think they are a trash fish and only good for bait. Then there are others like myself who enjoy them. Just as in life, different strokes for different folks.
Regarding the shirts, ours are pretty sweet. SeaCraft provided 4 of each to each of the team members. We and the other SeaCraft teams have been told many times over that we have the best team shirts around. My embroiderer even said the same thing and couldn't believe the how much work goes into each shirt with out him adding personal sponsors. I think this is mostly due to Tracker and the 500+ pro BASS guys they have.
We only wear our shirts at weigh-in's and at the Nat'l Championships (photo oppertunities) but the other guys like to wear theirs at the captain meetings and such. Like somone above mentioned, it is simply advertising and that is what the sponsors are looking for...getting their brand seen.
