Again I must be getting old. I am really have a hard time figuring out where these Tournament fisherman heads are at. I fish out of Miami – Government cut usually 40+ trips a year. Out of those trips approx 2-4 week end tournaments per year will be doing their thing there. There is usually 100 to 200 boats in each of these tournaments. We are talking 29- 36’ Center Consol with 2 to 3 outboards strapped on the back totally rigged out. They go through the cut like a bat out of hell and spread out all over the place when they get to the reef. Anyway next weekend Not one of them are back fishing again. They really aren’t into FISHING they are into Competing With Other Guys for a Prize $$$. AND they think if they just spend more $$$ on their equipment they will do better in their head to head competition with each other. Have you ever seen the Tarpon Fishing competition on the west coast of Florida you got about 100 boats all fishing in approx 200 yards square of water. GIVE ME A BREAK those guys need to figure out what Fishing is all about.
