Default Re: How much different is the ride?

Strick,

I have never been in a CC, so I do not have a comparison.

I can tell you that having the cabin is worth the 'tiny' difference there 'may' be. I have an i/o on my 23' Tsunami and w/ proper trim, she rides awesome. I notice that I really never have to use the engine trim to get her to ride well in any sea ( unless a following sea ) - the sweet spot for my boat is trim almost all the way down. You feel the bow literally cut through anything. On a flat day, I will raise the trim a bit. Obviously in a choppy, quartering sea - most boats will handle poorly - I like to really raise the bow w/ my trim tabs and this really helps that kind of sea.

I waited for a 23' w/ a cabin ( not the walkaround ) - that to me seems like the ride would be less SC'ish. I would recommend it.

Besides, knowing you and your abilities, you'll rip the wood from under the deck/cuddy and re-install some ultra-light, composite stuff that will put any weight issue to rest !

Good luck.
