Ed and I hooked up for a little flats fishing in the late fall. We decided to hire a guide and met in Ruskin, FL as Ed was on a business
(drinking and talking about boats) trip. Ruskin is located between Tampa and Bradenton. It was a little chilly but warmed up nicely as the day went on. We met our guide Todd and fished the Little Manatee River. It was beautiful and our guide put us on fish instantly.
We pulled about a dozen snook out of the first hole and had steady action most of the day.(1/2 day) We also caught a redfish, some trout and a few Jack Crevel.
I hooked the biggest on of my life estimating it at 3 feet long and maybe #20 plus. He spooled me taking off over 200 yards of braid. Ed and I hooked and landed at least 1/2 dozen more and had a blast.
