Removed the old water logged ply wood under the area where the battery boxes used to be located. I replaced it with a foam core followed by three to four layer of chop mat. Solid, water proof, and will never rot or hold water. These two platforms will be for my oil resevoirs. If I decide to go with four strokes for my next set of motors, they will become storage.
Some grinding and clean up, and they should do just fine.
Finished up the bilge and decided to set the tank to get it out of the way. I never totally removed from my boat, as it still has 50+ gallons left in it.
This shot is of the tank in place as well as the oil res. platforms.
Transom shot facing the bow. Took off another 30lbs of that putty crap used to stick the original deck.
Next on the agenda, finish final layer of woven roved on the transom, fill in the deck scuppers, grind and fair out the out side of the transom.
