I thought and thought about using Durabak-which seems the best of the surfaces for boat decks-and seems pretty easy to apply. I decided instead to redo the non skid-which was in lousy shape-by sanding it down and taping off the stripes with fineline tape and then applying awlgrip and intergrip and then painting the areas with no non-skid again-very involved, but I'm happy I did it.
Reason for avoiding the rubber surface-while I'm sure it's really durable and probably even more comfortable-
I remember looking at a boat that had it during my boat search and thinking that it probably had something to hide under that surface. It definitely discouraged my from the boat.I wonder what it will do to the value of your boat if you put it on.
