Hey miles, i didn't change any of the motor mounts (yet) sorry. However here are some pictures of what i am up against. I pulled the houses of the impeller housing in an effort to find the old impeller pieces. I also checked the heat exchanger with no pieces sited. However in the discharge side of the hose coming off the impeller i did find these:
Also since I was already pulling hoses off i figured i might as well double check the new impeller i put in after the first one burned out. as you will recall, i put this impeller in and restarted a few days ago and she overheated again. As i found, the impeller i had put in a few days ago was now trash as well. So now my questions will mainly stem from this next picture:
As you can see i hope, the left hand side says right side out, and the other side says left side out. Now just so i make sure to put my hoses back in the right way... my engine is right hand rotation. Does that mean that my discharge hose will go where it says right hand out? i should have remembered and marked it when i took it out the first time but being a rookie i didn't. Now many of you are proably saying get a damn service manual, which i am currently waiting on. This next picture is how the housing looked when i replaced the first impeller. the left hose attachment is where i thought the supply side was intially and that is how i put it back. Also since my engine is right hand rotation does it mater which way i curve the fins when i install the impeller in the housing? Sorry about all the questions but i want this thing right and don't want to have to worry about it. So from what i can see these are my potential problems: air lock, backwards hoses, grove in plate. Please help, i want her in the water, striper are everywhere. Thank you to all.
