One of the things I have done is support the golf ball to the tee is by putting one layer of black election tape over the inside wall of the flap & tee. In that way even if the flap breaks away from the tee part it still works. As far as a little leaking goes I still get a little myself perhaps with another material it would seal it up better like rubber the thickness of a tire tube. Any which way not bad for under $1.00
