with the floatation that brackets provide and the substantially better hole shot of twins, why would someone buy a 300hp single vs twin 150's? I've ridden in four different 23' CC's (two with brackets, two without) and all had 225-250hp engines.....then I rode in a bracketed 23' with twin 130's (generaider's) and it blew the single engine boats away with about the same horsepower.
Not sure what the MSRP is on the 300 eTec but the new 300hp Suzy 4-stroke has a rather lofty price tag that makes twins seem like a very appealing option for about the same cost as a monster single. Granted, I'm not in the market for a new engine so all this anguish and salivating is for the rest of you [img]/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
