Ha Fish On
I had thought about what you are suggesting when I was at that stage in my project but decided to replace the tank instead. I had a few things that changed my mind first off was I had bad pitting on the tank and I didn’t want to trap gas outside the tank but inside the glass lamination which could be a possible future problem, then I did not want to have to go back AFTER I had installed it to have to re do it in a year or two down the road. Plus I decided from the beginning to re do the whole boat and to save $800 now to have a potential redo in the future did not make a whole lot of sense when the total re do costs were in the low $30,000 anyway. I did not like to spend $800 for something I could not see like a seat or a t-top but now I’m glad I made that choice and hope I will never see that tank up close again. Plus it gives me a sense of safety knowing that I probably wound blow my self up one day.
