Default Re: Inboard running cold

Thanks, Divynicell will make it very light. I was going to go that route but due to $$, i opted for 1/2 inch marine grade plywood. First thing to do is get the right height, mine is a little tall for me, about 6foot 4 to top of inside. Then radius the edges for easy glass layup. I can't recall what weight glass i went with. After it was all framed out i cut 4 and 8 inch wide strips for all my corners. I layed the 4 inch on first then the 8 and then just one layer of glass on everything else. It was pretty flimsy before the glass and solid as a rock after. then i just finished the whole thing with 2 coats of gell coat. If i ever do it again i will go with divnycell. Also the windows i got custom made from Wynne, they have a good site that tells you everything you need about how to make the templates and the measurements required. Hope this helps. You can look under the photos part of this site under "MY FIRST" and there are some pics of the doghouse through various stages.
