update time- i foamed the tanks back in- rear hatch back in, fuel system hooked up and tied back in throuth the flowmeter. Throttle/tranny linkage all rerouted and installed- the tranny linkage took me about 2 hours to get it right. One thing I did learn reluctantly is not to tighten down on the linkage connections all the way. They need play in the connections or they will not work. Using nylock nuts tightening down and then backing off a couple of turns did the trick. Hydraulic steering is hook back into the console but not yet operational, i still have to add fluid and bleed ,lol. I have most of the wiring hooked back up now- i have had a brain fart rewiring my float switch into my forward bilge pump for whatever reason- brain overload I guess, I have done it 20 times in the last 3 decades, i will get it. Oh also put the leaning post back aboard (getting stuff off of the deck in the yard= happy wife, lol. Still have some repairs I want to do to the base of the console and want to finish painting the rest of the deck- making progress but the days are getting shorter!!!
fuel system being tied into the fuel pump- i installed a piece of 5/8" chafing to the 3/8" fuel line where it came close to contacting the deck- in the small area this is necessary to maintain the 90° vert on the gas flowmeter.I still need to put a stay tie around the chafing to secure it to the fuel line- one of those "loose ends" ,
I havnt yet had time to vac out the dirt and leaves trying to accumulate on me. Heres an image of the tranny linkage that was tough to get right- (the fuel side/throttle was easy, lol.
till next time-
