1st I had the bare alum sandblasted to get the best etch on the metal. Then I used Deft waterbased epoxy primer.
This is a primer that is used on military fighter aircraft on the landing gear that catch's hell and hold's up VERY well.
Then it got taped and 2 toned with Awlgrip. Then I taped somemore and put the Durabak nonskid on the top to make it 3 toned.
