Default Re: Any Moesly 19' or 20' CCs out there?

I don't want to start a fight.. but.. I have a 67 Bow Rider and its been in my family since it was new. It came with a 100hp Evinrude in 67' best it would do with 4 people and a full tank was 30 mph. In 75 we replaced the 100 with a new 115 and then the best it would run was 35. I ran that motor till 2000, with the aid of modern GPS it still ran out to 32 mph with 2 people, full of fuel. I replaced the motor with an 88 spl (I'm a big fan of the V4's) and the boat will run 32mph with the same load of 2 people full of fuel. If you want to run in the 40's your gonna need a 150 or better. IMHO.. its best with the 115 you'll burn right aroud 6 gph with it and you'll run at 75% throttle 95% of the time which is best for a 2 stroke and have a nice cruise. If there are any nay sayers out there over this info.. stop by.. I run my boat every weekend I'd love to take anyone for a ride and they can look at the Gps themselves lol
