The ping-pong ball scuppers aren't perfect, but they will likely help you out quite a bit. Try to keep the leaves out of them and they do pretty good. Some brands, such as Flow-Max (
http://www.thmarine.com/product.cfm?PRID=55 ) have a single set-screw that allow you to bayonet the outer part off and let debris out very easily, this is a very nice feature to have (it's not on the Rabud's).
I fully realize that raising the floor is more involved than many want to contend with. That being the case, get some decent ping-pong scupper covers and some plugs for the cockpit area and be careful in rough conditions - if you take on serious water, get that thing on plane as soon as you can.
