Yeah, I spoke with the guys at outboard exchange a few years back when I was looking to have a shop rebuild the 200 Yamaha on my 20 Mako. They were very helpful at the time and gave me a written estimate on how they would rebuild it and repaint the entire engine (at at added cost) if I wanted. I wound up going with Monahan's because they were closer. Perhaps, Outboard Exchange is not in business any more?

What about that Blackbird place that does OMC rebuilds? Maybe they have the paint codes? I was thinking that if you were able to get the paint codes, you would save yourself the matching headache and could have the local autobody supply mix whatever paint for you.

If it means anything, Jodi repaints his Evinrude 225 Ocean Pro mid section and lower unit with Awlgrip. Not a perfect color match to the original but looks good to me...
