Default Re: Need some info, re: Marine Connection Liquidators

One of the "problems" with living down here in paradise, is that almost anything you want has to come from the states, and a lot of companies are reluctant to ship here, or do business in the Caribbean.

The other drawback is that you have so little dispute resolution recourse, and it's easy to be taken advantage of.
Buying on Ebay scares me to death.

Sending anything here by UPS is shockingly expensive, .... cost me $55 for a small box of dive scooter parts no bigger than a baseball, and $130 for a box not much larger.

The most effecient way to get large items here is to have them shipped to the freight forwarding company in West Palm that runs a weekly cargo shipment to the islands here.

As I've been doing my homework on leaning posts, there are some that disassemble to a UPS-able size and weight. Certainly an advantage in my case...

About the nicest one is the Taco made, Neptune Deluxe.

Interestingly enough, that's the nicest of the ones that Capt_Chuck sent me pics of from his trip to MCL.

It could UPS ground ship to the freight company and then boat its way here.

If anyone knows of good prices on the Neptune Deluxe (need the backrest too), especially if it's from a Classic SeaCraft friendly vendor, let me know.

Thanks so much for everyone's input,

Darlene
