For a while this boat served as a patrol boat around the Sub Base area in New London. From what I can gather I think they painted that section black because the bow is soo long. It probably interfeared with looking through binoculars and such. There was also something mounted on the bow, 50 cal
or probably just an elevated bow rail. Those holes are there and filled poorly, not by me. I added the hatch but the deck has a few soft spots and needs attention. If you look closely you can tell I also removed the bow rail which was bent. Eventually I will get to all that stuff, One step at a time. Right now the cabin is getting the attention.
