Re: 1971 cc
I appreciate everyones response..I know I/O's are not normaly the favorite of anyone getting SALTY..They do tend to be a lot more maintenance than an outboard..(the outdrive and transom plates)...Now that i've gotten a response from you guys, don't hate me when I tell you I own a boatyard..I didn't post here to promote business(we have plenty here on Lake Lanier)I really wanted to know what you guys thought of boat(Seacraft 20' I/O)..I think we will use as shop boat...One of the few things i'll probably do is put some kind of fat (boatfriendly)rubrail in place of original..I'm looking forward to warmer weather and getting some use out of this boat..One day we may do a minor restore to boat..but it has to be at back of line because doing this one, won't pay the bills ..We are just starting a Bertram 31 restoration ,it will help pay the bills..last week coming back from water I saw what appears to be a 23' Seafarer with O/B in a buddys boatyard..not sure of details ..not positive of model..I was driving by..I could check details if anyone cares ...This is a good forum and next week I'll take a couple pics of boat and post...I've been doing this boat thing since a teenager..now i'm 52....you'd think i would know better by now...one of my customers is 28 finds funding and opens new Banks all over U.S.....can you say "children stay in school" life keeps picking up speed.........Steve
