Peter, It is a great idea, except till the screen printer
sees it. To get real definition would be difficult.
I was in charge of T-Shirt sales for the Halifax Sport Fishing Club and the Greater Daytona Beach Striking Fish Tournement for a long time. The printers will tell you,
5 colors max for clarity.
