Re: Don Herman is a bad infuence!!
Mike it's gonna be ok....don't worry everything is gonna be OK.
When I was first afflicted with the boatrestovirus several many years ago I thought that I was really sick. In fact most of my friends and family thought I was crazy. I began to believe them and I went into a period of isolation....UNTIL the internet boom.
Thats when I found that there were many other guys that had the same incurable virus...men (and a few women) from all walks of life. Carpenters, computer nerds, doctors, dentists, and attorneys?
What I learned was that you have to take it slow and easy. Restore one boat at a time.... not three like my friend Bigshrimpin. His sickness has run rampant and is on the verge of ruining his life.
So what I'm trying to say is that you have to try and control yourself. One boat every three years is about right. Look at Bobby Wartman (warthog5) he is under complete control. He is now working on building artificial reefs instead of boats. See how you have to learn self control?
Another thing is to try and connect with a local guy in your area that has the same problem. You can become friends and drink beer and smoke cigars together while you work on boats. One more thing is that you need at least two boats. One to fish out of and one to work on...at least thats he theory but what I've found is that I'd rather work on boats then go fishing. Let us know if you need any more advice. we are here to help.
