I've seen some real nice jobs done with rollers and brushes, I've never been able to brush or roll anything worth a crap, I like spraying. In fact, the guys around here like to roll the first couple of coats of primer, it fills in the pin holes better than spraying. Any where you're doing nonskid, its easy to roll. But if you want that mirror finish, its hard to beat spraying. On the boat I had the problem with the dew, I finished spraying just before 3 in the afternoon(should have known better, but I was determined to get it done), the sun went down around 5:30, it was allmost enough time, half the bottom was slick, next time I'll plan to do it earlier, timing is criticle if your painting outside, you don't want to do it too early,you need the surface to warmup, too late and it wont set off right
