Removed the engine mounts and plugged the hole . . . The outer transom skin is almost 1/2" thick, so I matched the thickness when I made the plug on chuck molding table. Inside skin is only 1 layer of mat and 18oz roving . . . Thought that was a little weird, but the wood is still in good shape for being 35 years old.
