www.interfaceforce.com (manf. of Load cells, devices that measure force very precisely) recently received an order from the production crew of the popular TV shows MythBusters. (I had nothing to do with the order btw)
I usually work with companies like Sikorsky, Pratt and Whitney, and Raytheon on spooky no tell govt. projects with this stuff so it is kind of cool to see this equipment on the big screen.
MythBusters is going to use Interface to help bust the myth “Birds on a Truck" the episode is scheduled to air April 18th.
The experiment is to utilize Interface Load Cells and weigh the truck with caged birds, and then weigh the truck while the birds are flying in the truck.
The Myth to be Busted: Will birds in flight within the truck change the net weight vs. with the birds sitting in cages?
