I guess i just didn't mind paying a little extra for the "dealer" part of it. I know that the dealer i bought it from is a very reputable dealer and have a great reputation. I also know that if you have one that runs, its a great engine.
As i said before, we have 2 2000 150's in the family, and they haven't given us a single problem.
I also have been looking for quite some time now, and i haven't seen that many fichts for sale in my area, or any other newer outboards...especially within 30mins driving distance, which this one is.

NADA values are deffinately way off on very old boats and outboards that have been rebuilt, or other work put into them, but i'd think that the newer outboards and boats are pretty easy to give a value to b/c most haven't had more money poured into them...get what i'm sayin?

Is it true about the fuel burn compared to the etecs? I'd figure that the etec had better burn numbers.
