Default Re: Buy replacement parts or do I have to make the

I see that 90 people have viewed but noone has answered, (presumably because you probably did not do a search before posting) so I will answer.

A place like Marine Connection Liquidators might have some miscellaneous hatches, but it is highly unlikely that you will find one made for your boat. Also, there were apparently variations on those hatches, even within the same year and the newer ones are of course different from the older ones. Some of the 20's were made for twins and have a wider transom cutout so apparently the boxes on these were skinnier. If you do a search or even just look at pics, you will see that most have had to make new hatches and doors. Some chose to make them out of starboard, some made them out of teak, some have recored their old hatches, and some have chosen to go the extra mile and make new hatches from scratch. I highly recommend Strick's "Here we go again thread" under Repairs/Mods. That guy is a hatch/mold making machine. If you really don't want to do it yourself, I am sure that any of the fiberglass shops could make you one.

Good luck and Welcome aboard
