Sure it will work as long as you set the bracket at the correct height. The rule of thumb for brackets is for every foot you go farther behind the boat, you have to raise the engine up 1". So for a 24" setback, go up 2". The reference on the outboard is the cavitation plate which is the large plate right above the propeller. That wants to be in line with the plane of the bottom of the hull with no bracket and up from that 2 inches on a 24" setback bracket. Hope that helps.
