Bill, It booms and shakes for a good 10 minutes after launch. Almost like an ole Chevy or Ford backfiring.
The windows rattle after about 1 minute after take off.
It was not dark for this launch but the one they sent up in December (I think) lit up the sky like day light.
It is awesome, I have watched just about every launch since
I was a kid growing up in Daytona. The cool thing is most of my friends work at the Cape and on the Shuttle. Ken
