Default Re: Here We Go Again

One year anniversary today. How bout a little fireworks.

Not much to report on the boat except more of the same stuff.... FARING AND SANDING. I managed to get the boat sanded and shot two good coats of primer on her inside and out over the last couple weeks. The fairing has consisted of mostly filling little blemishes and pin holes. I want the boat to look good when it's finished so I've been taking my time looking at the boat in all light conditions and adding fairing compound where needed. I'm sure some blemishes will get by me but hopefully you will have to look hard to find them.

Here are a few more pics:

The wire for the shop came in. Thanks goes to Bobby and Jeremy you saved me $$$ by going to aluminum and buying it from Herning supply. The other place was trying to rip me off they wanted $1700 for 1300 feet of #1 aluminum. Herning sold me 430 feet of triplex (three wires wrapped around) for $570. This is 1-0 aluminum so I ended up getting bigger wire for less money.

There were only a few more places that needed to be filled with fairing compound.

These areas will be spot sanded, primed and sanded again along with the rest of the boat. I have to do some cut outs for hardware and then it's time for some paint.
