This story brings back many memories, as my dad was a vet back in central Kentucky. He did mostly large animal work (cattle, sheep, hogs) but had a few clients with thoroughbred race horses. He said most of those horses were pretty high strung and could be tough to work with; some of the stallions were downright mean, and many of the grooms up there were walking around with no thumbs!

However, he said the worst part about working on the race horses was the horse people . . . said some of them were crazier than the horses!!
