I installed Bennets on my Seafari in 1977. Still have same pump unit. Don't have indicators; did have to replace the joystick switch a couple of years ago, but it was fairly cheap and readily available at local BOW. I think you're right about the racing type switch being more bulletproof. In all that time, almost every other electrical item on the boat has had problems at one time or another. Looks like the o-rings on those Lenco's are what the aerospace folks call a prime-reliable item, i.e., if they fail, you're dead, or at least looking at big $$$! On the other hand, there isn't much that can go wrong with a hydraulic cylinder; it'll still work even with a leaking o-ring!
